The
Italian-American artist/actor/playwright LuLu LoLo honored the people
of France, Mother Cabrini (Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini) the Saint
of Immigrants, the Statue of Liberty, Frederic Auguste Bartholdi,
Gustave Eiffel, and the Cities of Paris and New York in a performance
that recreated a symbolic childhood ritual of Mother Cabrini.
LuLu LoLo wearing the habit of the Missionary Sisters
of the Sacred Heart sailed twenty five paper boats (honoring the
25 voyages Mother Cabrini made across the ocean) carrying the Statue
of Liberty down the River Seine, opposite Notre Dame Cathedral,
to bring hope to the many immigrants in the world who leave (flee)
one land for another. |
